Corporate franchise teams, industry leaders and franchisees all have been turning to Zoom and Google Hangouts to support each other during this crisis. While video conferencing has been around for a while, some companies haven’t used it until now. 

Seeing everyone together, even on a screen, creates a sense of intimacy, especially with many people working from home. Much more casual than using company conference rooms, folks are chatting with backdrops of home kitchens, living rooms and backyards, often with dogs barking or children running past. With virtual happy hours and other creative themes, the industry is using technology to bond in a new, friendlier way.
