Such a great night connecting, learning, and (let’s be honest) being completely pulled in.
Listening to Pete Sampson from The Athletic (part of The New York Times) break down the upcoming Notre Dame Fighting Irish football season, NIL, and the realities of athletic department budgets was incredibly insightful.
It’s clear these changes are reshaping college sports—and if you ask me… this evolution is headed for high school sports, too.
It was also great reconnecting—Pete is not only exceptional at what he does, but an all-around genuine, approachable, and family-oriented person.
Loved the conversation, loved the company, and I always appreciate time with my Notre Dame family.
Big thank you to DLA Piper for hosting at their San Diego office, and to Adriana Holguin, Robert Bauchman, and the Notre Dame Club of San Diego for bringing everyone together.
Go Irish! 🍀
