The fireside chat was outstanding—and it sparked something even more meaningful.

The Notre Dame Club of San Diego hosted an incredible evening with Ian Book, Notre Dame’s winningest quarterback, moderated by his mentor, Michael O'Malley, from the Notre Dame Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate.

Ian spoke about preparation, resilience, and earning the trust of those around you—a powerful reminder that sustained success, in athletics or business, is built long before anyone sees the results.

Great leaders aren’t defined by the wins everyone remembers. They’re defined by the preparation, perseverance, and people behind the scenes.

What made the evening even more special were the conversations that followed.

I left inspired after meeting Ian, reconnecting with Mike, and spending time with wonderful friends, including Adriana Holguin, Martin Holguin, Mike Carroll, CFA, and Cort Peters.
